How do you make the Global Storm Forecast?
We take raw weather data from
the ECMWF (European) model and make
adjustments to make sure it correctly
shows the precipitation type, while also
optimizing the map performance for fast
loading and global viewing (over land and
        water).

Are there any limitations to
            the Global Storm Forecast?
The Global Storm Forecast is only from one model (ECMWF) and not
blended with multiple models like you see
elsewhere on OpenSnow. The forecast is
also lower resolution so it will not
always pick up the nuances of complex,
        mountain terrain. We recommend
        double-checking the forecast for any
location by tapping the map to view the
        full forecast details.
